Liam Drinking Water (animation)

I just did this and wanted to share it! Liam loves to drink out of a water bottle, though he gets fairly wet in the process. Here he is in action! I have lots more cute pics I want to share of the boys, hopefully I will get them up later this week!

Taco Time!

These are from a taco dinner we had last week. Previously, when we had tacos I would give Liam a bit of each thing. A portion of meat, beans, rice, cheese, instead of it all wrapped up in a taco. This time he clearly wanted the real thing and did a great job chowing it down! He had a lot of fun doing it too!

Father's Day

Father's day was this past sunday and we all had a wonderful time. It was a beautiful sunny and warm day. We couldn't decide what to do, should we go to the zoo, go on a train ride, go to the lake... We ended up going to Lake Sammamish park. It's a huge park right on the lake. Aiden even decided to jump in the lake and go swimming a bit. Liam sat with me on the shore and tried to eat sand. This isn't the first time he's eaten sand, you'd think he would remember that sand is yucky and maybe I shouldn't put it in my mouth. But no, he ended up with a mouthful or two of sand. Afterwards, we went out for ice cream and of course the kids passed out in the car on the ride home. Here are some pics!

Silly things

Aiden is such a silly kid. He makes me laugh every day. I just love him so much, and now that he's 3 he has all sorts of silly things to do and say. The other day ago he came out of his room like this

Some of the funny things he says and does lately:

When he wants something he'll come up to me and say "So here's the deal"

He likes to "cook". He will gather cups and bowls, fill them with water or any other leftover food or drink he finds laying around the house and says "I'm making Pot Pie"

Last week I came into the kitchen to find him with my waffle maker out. He had gotten out the juice as well and was dumping it all over the waffle maker "making waffles". That one didn't make me too happy, but in retrospect its pretty funny!

When we meet people he will stand by Liam, put his arm around him and say "This is my friend Liam" That one just warms my heart!

Argh... I know there's more, i'm having a brain fart and am just gonna have to update this post later...

Here he is having fun in a box. He thought it made for a nice seat while watching TV.

First words and more fun!

Last week Liam said what I will consider his first word. He does say ma ma, and I'm pretty sure he means it since he only says it when he wants something from me, and he also says lots of dadas, and maybe even hi and dog, but I wasn't ready to consider any of those his first word. Then last week, I was picking up in Aidens room while Liam sat and played. Aiden has a toy monster truck called "gravedigger". Liam loves it, as it is big, loud, and zooms about running over things. He was sitting there pushing the buttons on it making it roar and say "GRAVEDIGGER" in a loud menacing voice over and over. OK, nothing out of the ordinary there, but then I hear a "gravedigger" come out of Liams mouth. I was completely shocked. It was so funny because he kept saying it! I was just laughing because I would have never ever expected that to be his first word. Too funny! I told uncle Noah and he was very amused. Who woulda thought the toy would be such a big hit!
Here's a pic of Liam and Gravedigger.

We went to the beach last weekend. I don't know why we don't go more often, its not that far of a drive and the kids loved it! Of course it was dumping rain when we got there, so we ate our lunch in the car and decided to go out anyways. If we didn't the kids would've thrown the fit of the century, they don't care about the rain! So we went out and walked around, luckily the rain stopped and it ended up being pretty nice. We found a starfish and Liam crawled around in the sand, digging like a dog and being silly. Aiden loved the sand too, he brought his Tonka backhoe with him and walked around digging random areas of sand. It wore the kids out good, they fell asleep as soon as we got back in the car. Here is Aiden on the ride back.

These next pics arent from the beach.. We did bring the camera with us but didn't want to take it out in the rain. These pics are from the following day, Sunday, when we took a walk down to the river. There's sand there too so the kids had another opportunity to get dirty and dig around.

Ignore the stupid look on my face in this pic and just concentrate on Liams cuteness!

This is a little late, but we went to the summer home in Sandpoint, ID memorial day for weekend. The weather was so beautiful and we all had a fun time. When we got there the water and electricity was off, but fortunately we (meaning Justin, Noah, and a mystery at the power company) got it all up and running within 24 hrs. The kids had a great time playing outside in the dirt and in the lake. Aiden didn't want to go home. I don't think any of us did! Here are some pics from the ride over there. Both the kids fell asleep and just looked so sweet. Every time the kids start to frustrate me all I have to do is take a look at them sleeping and I forget all about anything they may have done!

Justin and Aiden in matching wife beaters! LOL! I had tried to get Aiden to put on his earlier that day and he wouldn't. Then daddy came in with his on and Aiden put his on instantly.

Aiden has developed a severe aversion to getting his picture taken. If he sees me with the camera he runs off or hides his face. Its so silly because he was the biggest ham when he was a baby. Anyways, it makes it real hard to get good pics of the little bugger. Here are some cute ones of Liam having some summer home fun!

Yum! Rocks are tasty! He was constantly trying to chew on rocks..

Silly guy with a silly tounge!
